Coachella Countdown: 73 Days

Artist of the Day: Scala & Kolacny Bro.

First, this isn’t a band.   This is a choir.  An all girls choir from Belgium.  This isn’t for everyone, but if you go into this with an open mind…be prepared to be blown away.

For anyone that saw the Social Network or at least saw the initial previews I am sure you heard the Scala & Kolacny Bro. version of Radiohead’s “Creep”.  The moment I heard this song I feel in love and began this obsessive hunt for all of their songs, which include many orginal and covers.

Counting Crows cover – Colorblind

A little progressive bluegrass if you will.  Love their sound. I think they will actually sound even better live.  They are for sure on my list of “must see”

Coachella Countdown

Coachella Countdown: 76 Days

Artist of the Day: Delta Spirit

I am sort of cheating here as this band is not new for me in any way, but I have yet to see them live and this festival setting will be the perfect place to finally catch them.

Hopefully somebody reading this ( if anyone really does) will take a listen to them and add to their catalog of new music.

Posted is one of my favorite songs: Bushwick Blues.  Also check out Children & People C’mon

Coachella Countdown – 77 Days.

Artist of the day: Two Door Cinema Club.

I came across this band directly after 2010 Coachella and have been following their growth ever since. I am so happy to see this band on the lineup for Day 2.

If you like Phoenix or Passion Pit, you very may well like these guys too.

Coachella Countdown

78 days left until the mayhem will ensue in Indio,CA

Tickets sold out at around 3pm yesterday, thank goodness I have my ticket.

I have been anticipating this festival since the second last years ended!  Not only do I get to see amazing acts we all know, like Kings of Leon and Arcade Fire but I also will get to discover amazing new emerging artists that will forever hold a place in my musical heart.

Last year,  The XX and Edward Sharpe stole my heart… who will it be this year?

So now for the next 78 days, you all will get to help me discover and research the 100’s of bands that will attend Coachella 2011.   Let the countdown begin!

3 days of magic.

3 days of magic. Bought my ticket today. Can not wait for this festival

2. Love this song…. love the unique video… Love the lead singers bangs 🙂

The Naked & Famous

The Naked & Famous – Young Blood

I live in a peter pan world… I don’t want to get old and grow up.

This song and video is beautifully done.   I instantly fell in love with the lyrics.  Make sure to pay attention.
