Coachella Countdown

Jenny & Johnny: Big Wave

Coachella Countdown: 15 days

Artist of the day: Jenny and Johnny

This is not a Rilo Kiley record, a Jenny Lewis record, or a Johnathan Rice record. This is Jenny and Johnny. They’re having fun now, and they want you to, too.

I have loved Jenny Lewis since I was 6 years old and watched Troop Beverly Hills over and over.. and over. So naturally I love anything Jenny does, from Rilo Kiley, solo with the Watson Twins and now this.  She has this cool vibe about her that draws me to her, almost magnetic.  And well… Mr. Rice he is just all around sexy.

* If you don’t know the movie Troop Beverly Hills, you need to go watch it asap.

New Yellowcard

New Yellowcard!  This band will always hold a special place in my heart.

Yes, this band was on a break, or what most of us fan’s thought was a break up… but here we are with an amazing new Yellowcard album.

It is Yellowcard circa Ocean Avenue. Anthems, ballads, violins… everything you loved about this band is back.  I couldn’t be more pleased.

Check out the new bio on their Facebook page explaining the album in better detail

I am just disappointed I am missing them this round of the tour, I will be heading out to Coachella the day they play in Anaheim. Obviously that is more important.

Wolf Gang

It definitely benefits you to have friends that love music just as much as you do because they will always find a way to introduce you to something you may have never discovered otherwise.

That is how Wolf Gang fell into my lap, who is now on my radar for artists to watch this year.  The song in the video, The King and all of His Men, is not on the US EP, which was disappointing.  Love the makeup and costumes in this video just as much as the song.

A lil country

Country music isn’t really my forte, so you won’t find me posting about it very often, but I couldn’t resit not posting this song.

I overheard it in a store recently and thanks to the trusty SoundHound app I discovered Jerrod Niemann. This is for all my country loving friends. 🙂 enjoy

Walk the Moon

Get ready to live out your inner child with this band – Walk The Moon.

The video to Anna Sun alone will make you want to jump around, dance and paint your face…& maybe throw on a tutu…. or at least that’s how I felt.

It was really difficult to find more information on this band. All I wanted was a general bio section somewhere and I couldn’t find anything worth posting…

Hope you enjoy this song!

Adele Cover

This is brilliant. Yet again, another cover down well.

Coachella Countdown

Coachella Countdown: 25 days!

Artist of the day: City and Colour

City and Colour is Dallas Green, a 1 man acoustic/folk singer, who will just move you with every word out of his mouth.

a close friend of mine went on and on about him recently and made me more curious to check out his other songs…which I am so glad I did because seeing him live might just change my life…again.

Coachella you are so close I can just taste it!

Lykke Li

I will admit, I am a brand new Lykke Li fan. While some of you out there may already be long time fans, I on the other hand had no idea what my life was lacking!

Thank goodness for blogs and magazines that keep telling me I must check her out.

The song posted above, I Follow Rivers, is one of my favorites off of the new album; Wounded Rhymes. Actually, I have a really hard time picking a favorite song as I am in love with the entire album.

Friends that are older fans of hers tell me they like her album, Youth Novels better, yet I am still undecided on that.

However here is another song and video I love from Youth Novels – Little Bit.

Coachella Countdown

Coachella Countdown: 36 Days

Artist of the day: Warpaint

I cannot wait to finally hear this band live! They are so talented. I don’t want to even say anymore about them, because you really should just click here and read the About section on their website.  It says everything I would want to say perfectly.

The song posted is Undertow.

Forever the Sickest Kids

New Forever the Sickest Kids!
